Saumya Daan (Hindi: सौम्य दान Saumyā Dāna, born March 2, 1982, in Mumbai) is an Indian voice actor who speaks English, Hindi, Marathi, and Bengali and formerly worked as a customer service assistant with Jet Airways until 2010 to become a full-time voice actor. He's been dubbing since 1994 when he was only 12 years old.
He's the official Hindi dub-over voice artist for Shia LaBeouf, Joe Jonas and also dubbed for James and Oliver Phelps respectively for the twin characters Fred and George Weasley in the Harry Potter film series. Also, He has dubbed for Indian and foreign productions into the Marathi and Bengali languages with supervision. In 2017, he reprised his role to voice Peter Parker / Spider-Man in Spider-Man (2017 TV series). The original actor of him in that show was Robbie Daymond.

The First 8 seasons dubbed, were based on the 4Kids Entertainment English dub. The later seasons were also dubbed in Hindi and are also revised translations based on the English dub. A Second Hindi dub has been produced by UTV Software Communications featuring a new Hindi voice cast and translation and aired on Hungama TV. Saumya Daan was involved in both Hindi dub productions. He voiced Clian in the first Hindi dub and Meowth in the second Hindi dub. Damandeep Singh Baggan originally voiced Meowth in the first Hindi dub from Season 1-2 and Sandeep Karnik from Season 3-14, which was produced by Sound & Vision India. |
