Vedalam (translation: Phantom / Genie) is a 2015 Indian Tamil-language action film written and directed by Siva, and produced by A. M. Rathnam, under his then-newly established production house, Shri Sai Raam Cinemas. The film features Ajith Kumar, Shruti Hassan and Lakshmi Menon in the lead roles, with also featuring an ensemble cast of Rahul Dev, Kabir Duhan Singh and Soori in supporting roles. The film features music composed by Anirudh Ravichander. The cinematography was handled by Vetri and editing was handled by Ruben.[1]
The film was dubbed in Hindi by Goldmines Telefilms and released on 24 June 2016 in selected theatres. Later, it was premiered on Sony Max and released on YouTube on 24 September 2016. The Hindi version had a similar opening sequence with some scenes taken from Dhada (2011) including one of the footages featuring Rahul Dev and Kelly Dorjee.
